A Reconstruction Dinner

Hosted at Historic Columbia’s Museum of the Reconstruction Era at the Woodrow Wilson Family Home, this intimate dinner invites guests to experience how place, history, and food intersect. In partnership with Discover South Carolina, the evening begins with a cocktail welcome followed by a seated, three-course dinner with wine pairings, prepared by SC Chef Ambassadors Darren Smith (Rivertown Bistro; Bonfire A Smokin’ Taqueria), Javier Uriarte (Woodcreek Club), Jessica Shillato (Spotted Salamander), and Sarah McClure (Southside Smokehouse & Grille). Drawing inspiration from the site itself, each chef brings their own perspective to a shared table—using food as a lens to reflect on resilience, tradition, and the evolving story of Southern cuisine.
